Over the past 10 years, a lot of vineyards have appeared in Spain. They can be immediately included in the list of the best modern architecture!  During this tour, you will visit the most ambitious wineries of Rioja, participate in the numerous wine tastings and wine-gastronomic master-classes and sports competitions and visit the most beautiful cities of the wine region.

If you want to embrace the spirit of real Spain and see the vast fields of grapes, you should go down to the “inner sanctum” of every Spaniard – wine cellars, see the process of production of this noble drink and taste different sorts of wine. Welcome to the wine region Rioja Alavesa!

We will live in the medieval city of Laguardia, the capital of the wine region Rioja Alavesa in the Basque Country, – the fortified medieval bastion, located on the top of the hill and surrounded by the endless vineyards. Bucolic life!

Life in this city goes on just like hundreds of years ago- without haste. People work in the vineyards and savor the good wines at noon (or in Spanish “siesta”) with their friends. The whole city of Laguardia consists of several medieval streets surrounded by the high and well-preserved castle wall with 5 towers. The new quarters grew around the castle walls without breaking the rural idyllic. The city sits completely on the medieval wine cellars.

Accommodation at the comfortable SPA hotel ****, situated in the medieval city of Laguardia, not far from the elite vineyards. Guests can use the open swimming pool, SPA-procedures with wine and oils and a free WiFi. The hotel has spacious rooms with the wooden floor and elegant interior. All the rooms have air-condition, flat screen TV with satellite channels and a working table. The hotel includes restaurant with a la carte and bistro service. The guests can also visit café-bar and terrace with a great view of the hotel garden. In your own SPA-salon, you can order different therapeutic procedures with the use of wine and oils. The hotel is located 45 km from Vitoria-Gasteiz, and the car ride to Bilbao and Pamplona takes about one hour and a half. You can get to Logroño in 20 minutes.
