Arrival at the airport of Malaga. Meeting with the guide and transfer to Malaga, free time for lunch and rest.
City tour of Malaga for those who arrive before 16:00.
We will visit the historic quarters of the old city, visit the Cathedral of Malaga, Roman theatre, the square where Pablo Picasso was born, the fortress of Malaga, Castillo de Gibralfaro and Picasso Museum.
Night at the hotel of Malaga or on the coast of the nearest suburb (for example, Torremolinos).
Early check-out and transfer to the olive farm. Today you can connect with the authentic lifestyle of Andalusia. You can have breakfast in the real olive grove in the rays of the tender southern sun. Then you will have a tour of the traditional olive oil production where you can see how the “liquid gold” is getting out of the real olive press.
Then we will go to Granada—the capital of the province of the same name that enters the autonomous community of Andalusia. Our acquaintance with this unique region starts from Alhama de Granada. The French writer Théophile Gautier (XIX century) described this city with the following words: “It on a huge rock or on the top like an eagle’s nest”. It is known that the city was inhabited since the late Stone Age. The city got its name from the Arabic word “al-hamа”, which means “bathhouse”, as the healing geysers are located nearby. We will visit the historical part of the city, represented by the Muslim Medina, and see the castle reestablished in the XIX century on the foundation of the Mohammedan “Kasbah”, St. Carmen’s Cathedral of the XVI century in the renaissance style, which forms the part of the acting Carmelite convent. We will also see the mansion once occupied by the Spanish inquisition. Then we will go to the old church built on the foundation of the old mosque and performed in the unique style of “renaissance gothic” with the elements of “mudejar”.

Transfer to Granada. Accommodation at the hotel. Time for rest.
In the evening we will visit the historical center of Granada. Arab potentates from a dynasty of Nasrides built Granada as a palace city for themselves and their court. We will see the most symbolic place of the old city- “La plaza de Bib–Rambla”- and visit the Arab area “Al-Batinah” with a viewing platform “San Nicolas” located near the Cathedral of Granada and the Catholic Kings Avenue, which represents the closed rectangular patio, where people usually get together for lunch, dinner and urban festivities.
Then we will visit the significant square of Granada, where the monument to the Queen Isabella is located. The history of her reign is inextricably linked to the history of Granada.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will go to the national park Sierra Nevada that represents the unique natural phenomenon —the volcanic mountain range with its own microclimate and ecosystem, towering over the dry hills of Andalusia. We will visit the mountain country Alpujarra, situated in the river gorges of the mountain ranges on the southern ridge of Sierra Nevada. These unusual cities grow before us like the eagle’s nests as soon as we head north. Our first stop will be Lanjaron that represents the unique west gate of Alpujarra. Lanjaron is known for its healing mineral sources, attracting the travelers from the whole world all year round.
We will see the ruins of the old Arab castle, the conquest of which by the King Ferdinand was one of the turning points in the history of Reconquista—the conquest of Spanish lands from the Arabic invaders. We can also visit the SPA-complex, located near the healing springs. Orgiva, the capital of western Alpujarra is located 9 km from Lanjaron, on the shore of the river Guadalfeo. We will go to the north and end up in the other world: white cities of Andalusia grow on the fancy ascents and seem to hover between the tops. A few kilometers down the road framed by the chestnuts, we will see Pampaneira. Pampaneira has existed since the time of Roman rule. Since that time, the people grew the grape here (which gave the name to the city) from the Latin word “pompanos” – grapevine. During the Arab conquests, olive and citrus groves grew here; silkworms was cultivated and the finest silk was in the kingdom of Nasrides was made in this city. Pampaneira has the art-colony of young artisans are restoring the traditional loom industry, ceramic painting, etc. Pampaneira enters the register of historical-cultural heritage of Spain. We can also visit the unique carpet-weaving workshops in Pampaneira and chocolate factory. The unique Gothic church Santa Cruz of the XVI century is located on the square Libertad is also located in this city. The ribbed ceiling forming the carved net with decorative rosette and wooden altar in the style of “mudejar” are especially interesting. Bubion and Capileira— the villages adjacent to Pampaneira form the trio of the cities, towering over the edge and representing the unique ensemble of white houses with terraces and patios and fantastically complementing the natural landscape of olive and almond groves on the mountainsides.

On the way back to Granada we will make a stop near Fuente Agria— the thermal springs, rich in iron and other minerals, where the stones under the waterfalls are painted with an unusual color. It’s an uncommon place, whose stages lead us to the skite.
Return to Granada. In the evening, we will visit the extraordinary flamenco show, represented by the dynasty of Andalusian gitanos in the real cave!

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will have an excursion in the palace complex of Nasrides dynasty, reigning in Andalusia since the beginning of the XIII to the end of the XV century —Alhambra. The palace-park ensemble includes several palaces, mosques, baths, gardens with fountains, cascades and ponds, closed galleries and the graveyard. Alhambra is one of the seven wonders of the world, included in the list of world heritage of UNESCO. It is the greatest achievement of the Arab architecture, represented on the European continent. The highest skill of stonework decorating the most of palace chambers and halls is especially impressive. During the excursion, you will visit the Nasrid Palace, the palace-park complex with many buildings (including mosques, baths, fountain cascades and Generalife gardens).
Time for lunch. Then we will go to Ubeda, one of the oldest cities of Jaen, whose historical part is included in the list of the world heritage of UNESCO in Spain. You will see the Royal Convent of Santa Clara, St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. Nicholas Basilica, St. Lorenzo’s Basilica, Archeological Museum in the historical building “Casa Mudejar”(which has the unique style of mudejar), Palacio de Anguís de Medinilla and Palacio Vela de los Cobos, one of the oldest synagogues of Iberian Peninsula Sinagoga del Agua.

Breakfast at the hotel. During the walking tour we will learn about more than 3000-year history of Cordoba that played an important role during the rule of Cesar and Pompey, Octavia August, Neron. Later it became the capital of powerful Caliphate of Cordoba—medieval state that occupied the south of Iberian Peninsula, including the territory of the modern Portugal. During the flourishing of caliphate, it was the place of development of the paper and silk manufacture, carpet industry and mint. Here lived the great thinkers belonging to three different confessions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Therefore, we can still read the medieval works on medicine, philosophy and astronomy.
You will visit the central mosque-La Mezquita, striking the imagination with its beauty and magnitude. We will also see the neighboring Roman bridge and Torre de Calahorra, protecting the city from the south. Then we will visit Alcazar of Cordoba — palace of the Christian kings, built in the place of Moorish fortress. According to historical sources, this was the place where the Queen Isabella met Columbus before his travel on the search of India.
Time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the traditional Andalusian patio, where you will try the traditional dishes of Southern Spain. You will participate in the cooking show with the step-by-step demonstration and the following tasting of Cordoban dishes (extra charge, *example of menu):

- Flamenquin” with pork or jamon serrano
- Rice “arroz caldoso” with fish and seafood.
- Drinks: white and red wine, water.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we leave Cordoba and go to Sevilla. We continue our excursion to the kingdom Al Andalus. Sevilla is a visit card of Andalusia, the taste, smell, color and inflammatory melodies of the south. Today Sevilla stretches on both sides of the Guadalquivir, but it old part is located on the left bank. During the excursion, we will visit the traditional Sevilla Cathedral of the XX-XVI century (external inspection) – the world’s largest gothic cathedral and the third-largest Christian church (after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London). Then we will see the bell tower Giralda (which is 114 m known high) and the building of the Indian territory archive. We’ll visit Alcazar de Sevilla the palace that served as a Spanish royal residence for 700 years. Alhambra (even though it’s smaller) is an example of sophisticated style “mudejar” that reflected in the skill of fine stonework. For dinner, we recommend you to visit the bar “jamoneria”, and also go to Plaza de Encarnacion and see the modern architectural complex MetropolParasol by Jürgen Mayer.
In the evening, the futuristic façade of the complex seems unusual due to the illumination. There is a viewing platform on the top floor, and the restaurants and traditional market are situated downstairs. In 2013, Metropolis became the finalist of the Competition of the modern architecture of the foundation “Mies van der Rohe”.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will go to Cadiz—the old port city, built by the Phoenician merchants in 1100 A.D. The great Greek thinker Plato assumed that Atlántida was situated near Cadiz. The historical part of Cadiz is located on the peninsula facing the ocean. The fortress Santa Catalina is located in the extreme point of the peninsula, and the castle San Esteban (Saint Sebastian) – a bit deeper. The historical city also preserves the remains of castle walls on the Constitution Square (where the city gates were located). The castle wall protected the whole island from the peninsula from the sea. Plaza San Juan de Dios leads us to the numerous streets, the colonial houses of which attract the tourists with their esthetics and color. We will see the Cathedral of Cadiz, built in the XIX century on the side of the small cathedral, Casa Lasquetty, Monastery of Santo Domingo, etc.
Time for lunch.
Then we will go to Jerez de la Frontera, the city, which gave the name to the world-famous alcoholic drinks jerez (or “cherry” in English). We will stroll along the old streets of the city, and during the excursion to the wine region called Jerez-Sherry-Xeres D.O. We will find out what’s the difference between fino and manzanilla, who is Pedro Jimenez, whether jerez can be day, what is solera and criada. Moreover, here we can taste different kinds of our favorite drinks.
Time for dinner. Night at the hotel of Jerez.
Breakfast at the hotel. Arrival in Ronda. You will see the legendary Roman bridge, cut right in the rock, whose image became the symbol of Andalusia. Tour of Ronda.
Then we go down to the coast. Our route lies along Costa del Sol with the world-famous fashionable resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus. We will stop in Puerto Banus to walk along the promenade, where the great yachts are docked, and the shops and restaurants attract the tourists.
Free time until the transfer to the airport. There are only night flights (after 18:00).
